We love photographing our clients as they progress from engagement, to weddings and then, as is the case of Baby Parker, the start of a new family. A rainy day didn't slow us down one bit as we just stayed inside for this beautiful family portrait session.

To create amazing photographs, we always encourage families to do what they love and to be where they are most comfortable. We followed the Morrison family as they went on a little day hike and picnic in Marin County, California, just minutes from our Mill Valley studio. Another great day with a fantastic family!

After 10 years of photographing big wave surfing and all things water, there's nothing I like more than diving in with a family who likes to play on the beach. Henry and Golden Retriever dogs jumping off of docks, playing hide and go seek with a quick bath all before daddy comes home. Just another day in their life! All child/baby photos always used with the enthusiastic permission and encouragement of their respective parents.

For decades, the Wartman family has returned to their oceanfront summer cottage in Maine to reconnect with each other and celebrate the beauty of the coast. We were thrilled to photograph the Wartman family as the third generation arrived for a day of fun in the sun.

When bad weather appears, we embrace it! When we arrived at Henry's house it was raining heavily outside but we got Henry all prepared to play in the rain with his fireman's outfit. When the rain stopped, the fun just continued. Tip: let kids be kids. These are the photos that will be cherished forever.

We met up with the Hwang family at their local beach for another surfing family photo shoot. So wonderful to see how their kids take to the water. Some highlights from our shoot with the Berkoff family and their superhero boys in Boothbay Harbor, Maine. In addition to capturing the classic family group photo for the annual holiday card, we're well known for documenting the creativity, joy and energy of childhood. Creating real, timeless portraits of kids being kids is a fun process and yields amazing results.

Some families want to hike, some want to play in the surf or the rain... and other just want to hang out with their kids. The Reiser family contacted us in advance of their annual vacation in Maine, and we were happy they did. Their home in Christmas Cove is as relaxing as it is beautiful, making the entire photo session comfortable and fun.
